Location, temperature, and payload metadata are pseudonymized before storage. Patient-identifying data never rides on drone telemetry — only signed proofs and pointers reach the ledger.

Is the stablecoin volatile like cryptocurrency?
No. Each token is backed 1:1 by reserves and independently attested. It is engineered as a stable unit of account for healthcare payments, not a speculative asset.
How are payments and patient data secured?
Everything runs on HIPAA-ready, HITECH-aligned infrastructure with TLS 1.2+ in transit, AES-256 at rest, role-based access, audit logging, and continuous anomaly and fraud monitoring. On-chain records are cryptographically signed and tamper evident.
What happens if a payment is disputed or reversed?
Transactions are final on chain, but MedBlock supports policy-based refunds, chargebacks, and clawbacks through smart contract workflows and payer agreements — so disputes are resolved with a full audit trail.
Who can accept and hold the medical stablecoin?
Verified healthcare participants — providers, hospitals, pharmacies, payers, and patients — after completing identity and compliance checks. Off-ramps to traditional bank accounts are supported for eligible entities.
How do drones connect to the blockchain?
Every MedBlock drone is provisioned with a unique on-chain identity and cryptographic keys. Onboard software signs telemetry and custody events and relays them, via secure cellular/satellite links, to Chainlink oracles that write verified data to the ledger — so each flight is an authenticated node in the network, not just a tracked device.
What data is stored on-chain vs. off-chain?
On-chain: cryptographic hashes, drone and operator identities, custody handoffs, delivery confirmations, payment settlements, and audit trails — small, tamper-evident records. Off-chain: protected health information, full medical records, high-resolution telemetry, and video, which stay in HIPAA-ready encrypted storage. The chain holds proofs and pointers; sensitive data never touches the public ledger.
